Drenner Group is a boutique real estate law firm specializing in land use, entitlements and real estate transactions in the Central Texas region.

Land Use

Drenner Group’s land use team is an eclectic group, made up of lawyers, civil engineers (although we do not practice engineering), planners and former municipal administrators.  We have unparalleled experience in the Central Texas market, and a record for success throughout the region dating from the 1990’s.  We have worked on some of the largest projects in Central Texas, but we have the ability to handle smaller projects in a timely and cost-sensitive basis.  At Drenner Group, we utilize a “team” concept to solve complicated entitlement issues, and we bring our combined experience to each task, while working closely with other necessary consultants.

Drenner Group’s land use clients include landowners, developers and even public entities facing land use issues.  Generally, we work along the I-35 corridor from San Antonio to Georgetown, although occasionally our clients take us elsewhere in Texas.

Many of our clients utilize our knowledge about the region and the entitlement opportunities in the region to consult with us at an early stage regarding their land use search.   We have been helpful in directing their search to areas or specific tracts that are productive due to their location and entitlement possibilities.  Generally, we do not charge for this service, but mainly of our clients find it particularly helpful.

Transactions

Drenner Group’s transactional attorneys have significant experience in all types of real estate transactions, including the following:  land and improved property acquisitions and dispositions; joint ventures; office, industrial, retail, hotel, multifamily, single family and mixed use development and management: commercial lending and institutional investment from both the lender and borrower perspectives; loan workouts and financial restructuring.

At Drenner Group the transactional attorneys work with our land use professionals to ensure that a client can build what it intends, can finance that construction, and nothing in connection with the entitlements being obtained or confirmed by our land use professionals will impede the marketability of the project.  Our approach is collaborative, comprehensive and involves jointly assessing the problems or issues facing a specific project or client and putting the best people on the job.
